Glenample Estate is one of the finest sporting estates in Scotland. Located to the south of Loch Earn, in Perthshire, rising from the loch shore to over 3.000 feet in the heights of the notable "Munros", Ben Vorlich and Stuc a` Chroin, in spectacularly beautiful and rugged countryside, secluded and free of public highways, it affords an ideal venue for shooting, stalking and fishing.
Glenample Estate, noted for its significant stocks of Red Deer, forms much of the western part of the renowned Glenartney Forest, having a maturing forest of 1.000 hectares, which provide cover for outstanding Stags and a loch shore forest categorised as Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) harbouring quality roe deer.
It has a most varied list of wildgame, from woodcock to grouse, with the always thrilling ptarmigan and blackgame. Brown and rainbow trout, with the occasional salmon, can be fished in the loch; and the various ponds around the Estate also offer very sporting fishing.
The Estate has a cottage situated two miles into the Glen with magnificent views over the hills and the forest. The cottage of traditional stone construction, was extended and fully refurbished to a very high standard in 2001, and offers extremely comfortable accommodation.
Although a secluded place, Glenample Estate is well located, 1 mile from the A84 Stirling/Killin Road, 35 miles west of Perth and only a 90 minute drive from both Edinburgh and Glasgow Airports.
